Here's how to view and adjust sync settings on your moto g play - 2023 if you're not receiving email and app notifications.
Frequent account syncing can have a negative impact on battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Passwords & accounts
    .
  3. Tap the
    Automatically sync app data switch
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    Turning off auto sync stops accounts from automatically refreshing your data and delivering notifications.
  4. Tap the appropriate account.
    Multiple accounts may appear.
  5. Tap
    Account sync
    .
  6. Turn the sync settings on or off as preferred.
    The settings presented vary depending upon account type.
    To perform a manual sync:
    1. Tap the
      Menu icon
       Menu icon (upper-right).
    2. Tap
      Sync now
