MOTOROLA EDGE - 2022 - Set Up Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up fingerprint recognition on your motorola edge - 2022.
  • A fingerprint is utilized to unlock the device.
  • For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
  • Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & privacy
    Device lock
    .
  3. Tap
    Fingerprint
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. If presented with a backup screen lock method, tap the desired option (e.g., Fingerprint + Pattern, Fingerprint + PIN, etc).
    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. From the 'Unlock with your fingerprint' screen, tap
    Setup
    .
    If prompted with 'Using a screen protector' screen, tap
    Got it
    .
  6. Place your finger on the sensor (lower center screen) until it vibrates then lift.
    Repeat this step as necessary until the process is complete.
    For greater accuracy, finger placement should vary slightly each time.
  7. Tap 'Done' or 'Add another'.
