Here's how to block messages and send unwanted calls directly to Voicemail for your motorola edge - 2022.
If calls from a specific number go directly to Voicemail but you're still able to receive text messages, ensure the contact isn't set to automatically route to Voicemail by tapping

Add Block

  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
     Phone icon (lower-left).
    If unavailable, swipe up on a Home screen to display all apps then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  3. Tap
    Settings
    .
  4. Tap
    Blocked numbers
    .
  5. Tap
    Add a number
    .
  6. Enter the phone number then tap
    Block
    .
    Calls and messages from contacts or phone numbers added to the block list are automatically ignored. The call is forwarded to Voicemail and text / picture messages aren't delivered to the Messages app.
  7. To block calls from unidentified callers, tap
    Unknown
     to turn on On switch.

Remove Block

  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
     Phone icon (lower-left).
    If unavailable, swipe up on a Home screen to display all apps then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  3. Tap
    Settings
    .
  4. Tap
    Blocked numbers
    .
  5. Tap the
    Remove icon
     Remove icon to the right of the number you want to unblock.
  6. Tap
    Unblock
    .
  7. To remove block for unidentified callers, tap
    Unknown
     to turn off Off switch.
