Here's how to turn the GPS location services for your Galaxy Watch5 / Galaxy Watch5 Pro on or off.
Satellite or standalone GPS services require more power and have a greater effect on battery life.
From your Android™ smartphone, ensure your Galaxy Watch5 / Galaxy Watch5 Pro software is up to date as the steps below apply to the most recent version.
  1. From the watch screen, swipe up to open the apps screen.
    Swipe up on the Home screen
  2. Tap the
    Settings icon
     Settings icon.
  3. Tap
    Location
    .
  4. Tap the
    Location switch
     to turn on On switch icon or off Off switch icon.
  5. Tap
    Google Location Accuracy
    .
    Location must be turned on for Google Location Accuracy to display.
  6. Tap the
    Improve Location Accuracy switch
     to turn on or off.
    When on, Wi-Fi and mobile networks are used to detect a more accurate location.
