SHARP ROUVO V - Add a Wi-Fi Network

Here's how to connect your ROUVO V to a Wi-Fi network.

Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network

Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to your internet service provider or the network admin for assistance.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & internet
    .
  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
    If presented with a Wi-Fi tutorial message, tap
    Close tutorial
    .
  4. Ensure the
    Wi-Fi switch
     (at the top) is turned on Switch on.
  5. Tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
    If the preferred network isn't listed, it can be added manually.
  6. If presented, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Connect
    .
    To view the password as it is being entered, tap
    Show password
     (enabled when a checkmark is present).
    If necessary, tap
    Advanced options
     to ensure any additional settings (e.g., Proxy settings, IP settings, etc.) are configured appropriately.

Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & internet

  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  4. Ensure the
    Use Wi-Fi switch
     (top) is turned on Switch on.
  5. Tap
    Add network
    .
  6. From the Network name (SSID) field, enter the appropriate name.
  7. Tap the 'Security field'
    dropdown menu
     (right) then select one of the following security options:
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA / WPA2-Personal
    • WPA3-Personal
    • WPA / WPA2 / WPA3-Enterprise
    • WAPI PSK
    • WAPI Certificate
  8. If necessary, tap
    Advanced options
     to enable any additional settings (e.g., Proxy settings, IP settings, Privacy, etc).
  9. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Connect
    .

    Show password
    .
