TCL TAB Disney Edition - Set Up Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up fingerprint recognition on your TCL TAB Disney Edition.
  • A fingerprint is utilized to unlock the device.
  • For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
  • Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to view all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security
    .
  3. Tap
    Fingerprint
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
    If no screen lock is active, tap a screen lock option (e.g., Pattern, PIN or Password) then follow the steps to complete the process.
    Refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. Read the disclaimer and tap
    Next
    .
  6. Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint and repeat as necessary until the process is complete.
  7. Tap
    Done
     (lower-right).
  8. Tap the
    Unlock device switch
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
