Here's how to add your Google (Gmail) account on your Pixel 6a.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Passwords & accounts
    .
  3. Tap
    Add Account
     then tap
    Google
    .
    If prompted, enter the current lock method (e.g., Fingerprint, PIN) to proceed.
  4. Enter the appropriate Gmail address then tap
    Next
    .
  5. Enter the appropriate password then tap
    Next
    .
  6. If 'Keep your account updated with this phone's number' appears, review then tap '
    Yes, I'm in
    ' or '
    Skip
    ' to continue.
  7. To continue, review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy then tap
    I agree
    .
  8. If presented, enable or disable any of the following:
    Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    • Back up your phone's apps
    • App data
    • Settings
    • Personal dictionaries
    • Wi-Fi passwords.
  9. Swipe left along the bottom edge to go back or swipe up from the bottom to exit.
