TCL 30 LE - Customize Your Home Screen

Here's how to add / remove Home screen items (widgets, apps or folders) and set the wallpaper on your TCL 30 LE.
To customize the Home screen on your TCL 30 LE, do any of the following:

Add Apps

A shortcut to an individual contact or bookmark can only be added to a Home screen via a widget.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Touch and hold the desired app.
  3. Drag the icon to the preferred Home screen location then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.

Add Widgets

Widgets are mini-apps (e.g., weather, clock, calendar, etc.) that can be added to a Home screen. They aren't the same as shortcuts as they generally display info and take up more space than a single icon.
  1. Touch and hold an empty area of a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.
    Options vary depending upon the type of widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
  2. Drag the shortcut on to another shortcut (e.g., Gmail) then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). The folder can be renamed.
    1. Tap the folder.
    2. Tap the title bar (top of open folder).
    3. Enter a name then tap the
      Done icon
       Done icon (lower-right).
      To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to 'Remove' (at the top) then release.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank space.
  2. From the on-screen prompt, tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Select a wallpaper category (e.g., My photos, Recently used, etc.).
  4. Locate then tap the preferred picture.
  5. Then choose an option:
    The available options vary depending upon the selected wallpaper.
    • Edit Crop
    • Scroll
    • Set both
    • Done
