MOTOROLA EDGE+ 5G UW - Set Up Face Recognition

Here's how to set up a facial recognition scan to access your motorola edge+ 5G UW.
  • A screen lock must be active (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.) to use Trusted Face. If necessary, refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  • If synced to a corporate exchange account, the availability of this option is dependent upon the policies of your IT admin.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & privacy
    Device lock
    .
  3. Tap
    Face Unlock
    .
  4. Enter the current unlock method (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.).
  5. Perform any of the following:
    • For first time set up:
      1. Tap
        Set up
         (lower-right) then tap
        Set up
        .
        If prompted to Allow 'Motorola face unlock', tap
        Allow
        .
      2. Align your face within the circle and follow onscreen prompts until the process is complete.
      3. From the 'Almost there' screen, tap the options to turn on Switch on or off Switch off:
        • Skip lock screen
        • Lift to unlock
      4. To continue, tap
        Next
         then tap
        Done
        .
    • To improve / replace a face match:
      1. Tap
        Redo face scan
        .
      2. Review the message then tap
        Redo
        .
        If prompted, re-enter your current unlock method.
      3. Align your face within the circle and follow onscreen prompts until the process is complete.
      4. From the 'Almost there' screen, tap the options to turn on or off:
        • Skip lock screen
        • Lift to unlock
      5. To continue, tap
        Next
        , then tap
        Done

    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Delete face model
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Delete
        .
