Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your Galaxy S22 / Galaxy S22+ / Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Configure Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Configure
    .
  5. Configure any of the following:
    • Network name
    • Security
      This option can be set to Open or WPA2 PSK.
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
    • Band
      This option can be set to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz preferred.
  6. To hide your Mobile Hotspot's name, tap
    Advanced
     then tap the any of the following to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon.
    • Hidden network
    • Support Wi-Fi 6 standard
    • Protected Management Frames
    • Power saving mode
    • Wi-Fi sharing
  7. Tap
    Save
     (lower-right).

    Turn off when no device connected for
     then select an option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 60 minutes, etc.).
