Samsung Messages - Create and Send a Text Message

Here's how to create and send a text message via the Samsung Messages app on your Android smartphone.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Tap
    Messages
     Messages icon.
  3. From the Inbox, tap the
    New message icon
     New message icon (lower-right).
  4. Enter a 10-digit mobile number or a contact name in the 'Recipient' field.
    As the number or contact is entered, a matching contact may appear and can be selected at any time.
    To add an attachment perform one of the following:
    • Tap the
      Gallery icon
       Gallery icon to attach a saved image or video.
    • Tap the
      Camera icon
       Camera icon to take a photo or record a video.
    • Tap the
      Add icon
       Add attachment to attach a file (e.g., Contact, Calendar, Samsung Notes).
  5. From the 'Enter message' field, enter a message.
  6. Tap the
    Send icon
     Send icon.
