TCL 30 V 5G - Set Up Face Recognition

Here's how to set up a facial recognition scan to access your TCL 30 V 5G.
  • A screen lock must be active (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.) to use Face unlock. If necessary, refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  • If synced to a corporate exchange account, the availability of this option is dependent upon the policies of your IT admin.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security
    .
  3. Tap
    Face unlock
    .
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • For first time setup:
      1. From the 'Set up face unlock' prompt tap
        CONTINUE
        .
      2. Enter the current unlock method (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.).
      3. From the 'Get ready to unlock..' prompt tap
        CONTINUE
        .
      4. Align your face within the circle and follow on-screen prompts until the process is complete then tap
        CONTINUE
        .
      5. Select the options to turn on On icon or off Off icon:
        • Face unlock
        • Face unlock when screen turns on
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. Read the disclaimer then tap
        YES, REMOVE
        .
