Import / Export Contacts from Comma Separated Values (*.csv) / vCard Files - Macintosh Contacts

Here's steps on how to import and export contacts to your Macintosh computer.
Import contacts
  1. From the desktop, navigate:
    Finder
    Applications
    Contacts
  2. Click
    File
     >
    Import
    .
  3. Select the .csv file then click
    Open
    .
  4. Click
    Import
    .
Export Contacts
Address Book Export does not support comma separated value (csv) file format.
  • From the Contacts window, drag contacts/group(s) to the desktop.
    The Address Book creates one vCard file with all the selected contacts.
  • Alternate method:
    1. From the Address Book window select the contacts or group(s).
    2. Navigate:
      File
       >
      Export
       >
      Export vCard
      .
    3. Enter a Save As name, select a Where location then click
      Save
      .
