Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your Galaxy S21 FE 5G.
  • If using Microsoft® Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options may be unavailable.
  • These steps can also be utilized to change your current screen lock setting.

Pattern

An unlock pattern is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen
    .
  3. Tap
    Screen lock type
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Tap
    Pattern
    .
  5. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap
    Continue
    .
  6. Draw the same pattern again then tap
    Confirm
    .

PIN

A numeric PIN is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen
    .
  3. Tap
    Screen lock type
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Tap
    PIN
    .
  5. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap
    Continue
    .
  6. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
    OK
    .

Password

An alphanumeric password is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen
    .
  3. Tap
    Screen lock type
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Tap
    Password
    .
  5. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters, including at least one letter) then tap
    Continue
    .
  6. Re-enter the password then tap
    OK
    .

Disable Screen Lock

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen
    .
  3. Tap
    Screen lock type
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
  5. If prompted, review the info about biometric (Face, Fingerprints) then tap
    Remove
     to confirm.
