Windows 11 - Turn Automatic Backup (OneDrive) On / Off

Here's how to turn off automatic backup for OneDrive on your Windows 11 device.
If your device isn't running Windows® 11, refer to the Windows 10 instructions.

Turn Automatic Backup On

  1. OneDrive is turned on by default. To use, navigate:
    Start Start menu icon
    All apps
    OneDrive
    .
  2. If prompted, Sign in to connect and sync your files.

Turn Automatic Backup Off

To turn off OneDrive, refer to Turn off or uninstall OneDrive.
