Kyocera DuraSport 5G UW - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your DuraSport 5G UW.
  • If using Microsoft® Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options may be unavailable.
  • These steps can also be utilized to change the current screen lock setting on your DuraSport 5G UW.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    >
    Security
     >
    Screen lock
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Set up a screen lock:
      • Pattern
      • PIN
      • Password
    • Disable screen lock:
      1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
      2. To confirm, tap
        YES, REMOVE
        .

Pattern

An unlock pattern is created to access the device.
  1. Tap
    Pattern
    .
  2. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap
    NEXT
    .
  3. Draw the same pattern again then tap
    CONFIRM
    .
  4. If prompted, tap one of the following then tap
    DONE
     :
    • Show all notification content
    • Show sensitive content only when unlocked
    • Don't show notifications at all

PIN

A PIN is created to access the device.
  1. Tap
    PIN
    .
  2. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap
    NEXT
    .
  3. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
    CONFIRM
    .
  4. If prompted, tap one of the following then tap
    DONE
     :
    • Show all notification content
    • Show sensitive content only when unlocked
    • Don't show notifications at all

Password

A password is created to access the device.
  1. Tap
    Password
    .
  2. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters) then tap
    NEXT
    .
  3. Re-enter the password then tap
    CONFIRM
    .
  4. If prompted, tap one of the following then tap
    DONE
     :
    • Show all notification content
    • Show sensitive content only when unlocked
    • Don't show notifications at all
