TCL TAB Pro 5G - Set Up Face Recognition

Here's how to set up a facial recognition scan to access your TAB Pro 5G.
  • Facial recognition is utilized to unlock the device.
  • For optimal performance, ensure you are indoors or away from direct sunlight.
  • If synced to a corporate Exchange account, the availability of this option is dependent upon the policies of your IT admin.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & biometrics
    .
  3. From the DEVICE SECURITY section, tap
    Face unlock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Review the info then tap
    START
    .
  5. Perform one of the following:
    • For first time setup:
      1. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed on the screen.
      2. From the 'Your face data has been added' screen, tap
        DONE
        .
      3. Review the advisory message then tap
        OK
        .
      4. Tap either of the following switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off :
        • Face unlock
        • Stay on lock screen after unlocking
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the 'Trusted face' menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        REMOVE
        .
