TCL TAB Pro 5G - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile Hotspot settings (password, network name, timeout, etc.) on your TAB Pro 5G.

Set Up Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Mobile Networks
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
  5. From the Configure Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as preferred:
    • Network name (SSID)
      The network name can be hidden by tapping
      Hide my device
       to turn on or off.
    • Security
      • WPA2-Personal
      • None
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
    • Maximum connections
      Use the dropdown menu to select 1-10 users.
  6. Tap
    SAVE
     (lower-right).

    Timeout settings
    .
  5. Select an option:
    • Never
    • 5 minutes
    • 10 minutes
    • 20 minutes
    • 30 minutes
    • 40 minutes
    • 50 minutes
    • 60 minutes
