TCL TAB Pro 5G - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your TAB Pro 5G.
  • If using Microsoft® Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options may be unavailable.
  • These steps can also be utilized to change your current screen lock setting.

Disable Screen Lock

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & biometrics
    Screen lock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  3. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
  4. Tap
    YES, REMOVE
    .

Pattern

An unlock pattern is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & biometrics
    Screen lock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  3. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap
    NEXT
    .
  4. Draw the same pattern again then tap
    CONFIRM
    .
  5. Select the preferred notification option then tap
    DONE
     :
    • Show all notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all

PIN

A numeric PIN is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & biometrics
    Screen lock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  3. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap
    NEXT
    .
  4. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
    CONFIRM
    .
  5. Select the preferred notification option then tap
    DONE

    • Show all notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all

Password

A password is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & biometrics
    Screen lock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  3. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters, including at least one letter) then tap
    NEXT
    .
  4. Re-enter the password then tap
    CONFIRM
    .
  5. Select the preferred notification option then tap
    DONE

    • Show all notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all
