MOTO G PLAY (2021) - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to change the SIM PIN for your moto g play (2021) or turn it on or off.

Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card in your device so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.

If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to the following to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK):

Standard service

: obtain the PUK via the My Verizon website.

Prepaid service

: contact customer service to obtain the PUK.

From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.

Navigate:

Settings

Security

From the SIM CARD LOCK section, tap the phone number.

If unavailable, ensure a SIM card is properly inserted.

Tap

Lock SIM card

to turn on Switch on

or off

To change your SIM PIN, ensure the switch is turned on then do the following:

Tap

Change SIM PIN

Enter the current SIM PIN then tap

The default SIM PIN IS 1111.

Enter a new SIM PIN then tap

Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tap

Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
