Frequent account syncing can reduce battery life.

From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.

Navigate:

Settings

Accounts and backup

Manage accounts

Select the appropriate Gmail™ address.

Multiple accounts may appear.

Tap

Sync account

Select the appropriate data sync options (e.g., Contacts, Calendar, People details, etc.) to turn on On switch icon

or off

To perform a manual sync:

Tap the

Menu icon

(upper-right).

Tap

Sync now
