Samsung Galaxy A12 - Add a Wi-Fi Network

Here's how to connect your Galaxy A12 to a Wi-Fi network.

Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (upper-right) is turned on On Switch icon.
  4. From the 'Available networks' section, tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
    If the preferred network isn't listed, it can be added manually.
  5. If presented, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Connect
    .
    To view the password as it is being entered, tap the
    Show password icon Show Password icon
    .

Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (upper-right) is turned on On Switch icon.
  4. Tap
    Add network
     (at the bottom).
  5. From the 'Network name' field, enter the appropriate name.
  6. Tap
    Security
    .
  7. From the 'Security' field, tap the
    Dropdown menu
    .
  8. Tap the appropriate security option:
    If using an Open network (Enhanced Open), skip to step 10.
    • Enhanced Open
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2-Personal
    • WPA3-Personal
    • WPA/WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise
  9. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
    To view the password as it is being entered, tap the
    Show password icon Show password icon
    .
  10. Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap
    Save
    .
