Pixel 5 - Link / Unlink Contacts

Here's how to link or unlink duplicate contacts in your Pixel 5.
  • The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (Gmail™, Microsoft Exchange, Facebook®, new entries, etc.).
  • To correct contact info joined in error, you can edit, delete, or undo changes to contacts.

Link Contacts

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Tap
    Contacts
     Contacts icon.
  3. Touch and hold the first contact then select other contacts to be linked.
    Selected when a checkmark is present.
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  5. Tap
    Merge
    .

Undo Changes to Contacts

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Tap
    Contacts
     Contacts icon.
  3. Tap the
    Switch account icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  4. Tap
    Contacts settings
  5. From the Edit contacts section, tap
    Undo changes
     then select a timeframe (i.e., 10 min ago, 1 hour ago, etc.)
    Option selected reverts all contacts changed within that timeframe.
  6. Tap
    Confirm
     then tap
    OK
