Pixel 5 - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to change the SIM PIN for your Pixel 5 or turn it on or off.
  • Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card in your Pixel 5 so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
  • If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security& security
    More security & privacy
    .
  3. Tap
    SIM lock
    .
    If unavailable, ensure a SIM card is properly inserted.
  4. Tap the
    Lock SIM switch
    to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    To change your SIM PIN, ensure the switch is turned on then do the following:
    1. Tap
      Change SIM PIN
      .
    2. Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
      The default SIM PIN is 1111.
    3. Enter a new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
    4. Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
  5. Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
    OK
    .
    The default SIM PIN is 1111.
