TCL TAB 8" - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your TCL TAB 8.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. If powered off, press and hold the

     TCL Logo screen appears then release.

  2. Select the appropriate language then tap
    GET STARTED
    .

  3. To continue, review the Terms and Conditions then tap
    ACCEPT AND CONTINUE

  4. From the 'Tablet Activation' screen, tap
    NEXT
    .
    If prompted, enter the Account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new tablet on an existing phone number, ensure the old device is powered off.

  5. From the 'Set up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.

     to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

  6. From the 'Copy apps and data' screen, tap
    Next
     then follow the on-screen options.
    If you'd like a fresh start, tap

    If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

  7. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one.

    Skip
     to add a Google account after setup is complete.

  8. From the 'Google services' screen, select any of the options to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap
    Accept

    If necessary, tap

     to review additional services.

  9. From the 'Protect your tablet' screen, tap an option.

    Skip
     to add a screen lock or set up fingerprint recognition after setup is complete.

  10. From the 'Verizon Services' screen, select any of the options to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap
