Set Up Wi-Fi Connection - Macintosh® OS X

Here's how to connect your Macintosh OS X to a Wi-Fi network.

Menu Bar

  1. From the menu bar, click the
    Wi-Fi icon
     (upper-right).
  2. Click the preferred network.
  3. If presented, enter the Wi-Fi network password then click
    Join
    .

System Preferences

  1. From the Macintosh desktop, navigate:
    Apple
    System Preferences
    .
  2. Click
    Network
    .
  3. Ensure AirPort/Wi-Fi is the selected network service.
    AirPort / Wi-Fi is unavailable unless a module is installed.
  4. From the Network Name dropdown menu, click the preferred network.
  5. If presented, enter the network password then click
    OK
