LG Stylo 6 - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your Stylo 6.
  • If using Microsoft® Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options may be unavailable.
  • These steps can also be utilized to change the current screen lock setting on your LG Stylo™ 6.

Pattern

An unlock pattern is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen & security
    Select Screen lock
     .
    If prompted to add a Google™ account:
    • Tap Add Google account now to set up an account.
    • Tap
      Continue
       to proceed without setting up an account.
      If presented, enter the current PIN, password, pattern or knock code.
  3. Tap
    Pattern
     .
  4. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap
    Next
     .
  5. Draw the same pattern again then tap
    Confirm
     .
  6. If prompted, tap one of the following then tap
    OK
     :
    • Show all notifications
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Hide all notifications
  7. To disable screen lock:
    1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
    2. To confirm, tap
      Delete
       .

PIN

A PIN is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen & security
    Select Screen lock
     .
    If prompted to add a Google™ account:
    • Tap Add Google account now to set up an account.
    • Tap
      Continue
       to proceed without setting up an account.
      If presented, enter the current PIN, password, pattern or knock code.
  3. Tap
    PIN
     .
  4. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap
    Next
     .
  5. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
    OK
     .
  6. If prompted, tap one of the following then tap
    OK
     :
    • Show all notifications
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Hide all notifications
  7. To disable screen lock:
    1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
    2. To confirm, tap
      Delete
       .

A password is created to access the device.

  7. To disable screen lock:
    1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
    2. To confirm, tap
