LG Stylo 6 - Add a Wi-Fi Network

Here's how to connect your Stylo 6 to a Wi-Fi network.
If you need to establish a Wi-Fi connection on your LG Stylo™ 6, follow these step-by-step instructions.

Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network

  1. From a Home screen, Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & Internet
    .
    These instructions apply to Home mode only.
    If presented with a Wi-Fi tutorial message, tap
    Close tutorial
    .
  2. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (at the top) is turned on Switch on.
  4. Tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
    If the preferred network isn't listed, it can be added manually.
  5. If presented, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Connect
    .
    To view the password as it is being entered, tap (check)
    Show password
    .
  6. If applicable, ensure any additional settings (e.g., Proxy settings, IP settings, etc.) are configured appropriately then tap
    CONNECT
     (lower-right).

Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to your internet service provider or the network admin for assistance.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & Internet

    If presented with a Wi-Fi tutorial message, tap
    Close tutorial
    .
  2. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (at the top) is turned on Switch on.
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  5. Tap
    Add Wi-Fi
    .
  6. From the Wi-Fi name (SSID) field, enter the appropriate name.
  7. Tap the 'Security field'
    dropdown menu
     (on the right) then select one of the following security options:
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2 PSK
    • 802.1x EAP
  8. If necessary, tap (check)
    Show advanced options
     to enable any additional settings (e.g., Proxy settings, IP settings, etc).
  9. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Connect
