Here's how to connect your Galaxy Note20 5G / Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G to a Wi-Fi network.

Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (upper-right) is turned on Switch on.
  4. From the 'Available networks' section, tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
    If the preferred network isn't listed, it can be added manually.
  5. If presented, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Connect
    .
    To view the password as it is being entered, tap the
    Show password icon
     Show Password icon.

Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to your internet service provider or the network admin for assistance.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (upper-right) is turned on Switch on.
  4. Tap
    Add network
     Add Wi-Fi network.
  5. From the Network name field, enter the appropriate name (SSID).
  6. Tap
    Security
     then select one of the following security options:
    • None
    • Enhanced Open
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2-Personal
    • WPA3-Personal
    • WPA/WPA2-Enterprise
    • WPA3-Enterprise
  7. If necessary, tap
    View more
     to enable any additional settings (e.g., Proxy settings, IP settings, etc).
  8. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Save
    .
    To view the password as it is being entered, tap the
    Show password icon
     Show Password icon.
  9. Tap
    Save
    .
  10. If necessary, select the preferred Wi-Fi network from the 'Available networks' section.
