Orbic Journey L - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to change, enable or disable the SIM card lock code on your Journey L.
  • Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so that it cannot be used until the correct code is entered.
  • If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, a PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) must be obtained from Verizon Wireless.
  • Ensure a SIM card is properly inserted.

Lock SIM card

  1. From the main screen on your Orbic® Journey™ L, select
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select
    5-way Navigation Pad
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Phone settings
    .
  3. Select
    Security
    .
  4. Select
    Others
     then select
    SIM card lock
    .
  5. Select
    Lock SIM card
    .
  6. Select an option then select
    SET
    :
    • On
      Enter the SIM Unlock code then select
      Ok
      .
    • Off
      Enter the SIM Unlock code then select
      Ok
      .

Change SIM PIN

  1. From the main screen on your Orbic® Journey™ L, select
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select
    5-way Navigation Pad
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Phone settings
    .
  3. Select
    Security
    .
  4. Select
    Others
     then select
    SIM card lock
    .
  5. Select
    Change SIM PIN
    .
  6. Enter the old SIM PIN.
  7. Enter the new SIM PIN then select
    OK
    .
  8. Re-enter the new SIM PIN then select
    OK
    .
