Here's how to configure Mobile Hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your OnePlus 8 5G UW.

Configure Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Wi-Fi & Network
    Mobile HotSpot & tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile HotSpot
     then configure any of the following:
    • Mobile HotSpot name
    • Security
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
    • AP Channel
    • AP Band
    • Wi-Fi 6 standard hotspot

Timeout Settings

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Wi-Fi & Network
    Mobile HotSpot & tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile HotSpot
    .
  4. Tap
    Turn off Mobile HotSpot automatically
    .
  5. Select an option (e.g., After 5 min of inactivity, 10 min of inactivity, etc.).
