KYOCERA DuraXV Extreme - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile Hotspot settings (e.g., password, hotspot name, etc.) on your DuraXV Extreme.
To configure Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings (e.g., password, allowed devices, etc.), view this info
  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

  2. Navigate:
    Settings & Tools
    Settings
    Wireless & Networks
    .
  3. Select
    Tethering and Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Select
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  5. Select
    Mobile Hotspot
     again.
  6. Highlight
    On
     then select
    Set
     to turn on the mobile hotspot.
  7. If prompted, read the info about the mobile hotspot then select
    OK
    .
  8. If prompted, read the info about the mobile hotspot using data service then press the
    left soft key
     Left soft key to choose Yes.
  9. From the Setup Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Hotspot name
      • Enter a hotspot name.
        To hide your connection from other devices, navigate to Hide my device then press
        left soft key
         to choose Check.
    • Security
      1. Highlight the
        Security field
         then press the
        left soft key
         to choose Set.
      2. Highlight an option then select
        Set
         :
        • WPA2 PSK
        • None
    • Password
      1. If preferred, highlight
        Show password
         then press the
        left soft key
         to choose Check.
        Show password is selected when a check mark is present.
      2. Select the
        Password Field
         then enter the new password.
        Password must be at least 8 characters.
        The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
  10. Select
    Save
     then press the
    left soft key
     to choose Continue.
