Google Pixel Phones - Dual SIM Dual Standby - Rename SIM Line

Here's how to change the name of your SIM on your dual SIM capable Pixel smartphone.

The following Pixel phones don't support Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS):

Pixel Phone by Google

Pixel 2 / 2XL

Pixel 3 / 3XL

Pixel 3a / 3aXL

From a Home screen, swipe up from the middle to display all apps.

Navigate:

Settings

Network & internet

SIMs

Tap the appropriate line (name varies; example Verizon eSIM).

This option is only applicable when both the physical SIM card and eSIM are activated.

Tap the

Edit icon

(upper-right).

From the Name field, enter the new name.

From the color dropdown, choose a color option (teal. blue, purple, etc.) used by apps.

Tap

Save
