OnePlus 8 5G UW - Enable / Disable App

Here's how to turn pre-installed apps on your OnePlus 8 5G UW on or off.
Some apps that come pre-installed (e.g., calculator, Google Play™ Store, Verizon Cloud, Call Filter, etc.) on your OnePlus 8 5G UW can't be uninstalled; however, they can be disabled (turned off) so they don't appear in the list of apps on your device.
The option to enable or disable an app may only be available for apps that can't be uninstalled.

Enable App

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up on the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps & notifications
    .
  3. Tap
    See all XX apps
    .
  4. Tap the appropriate app.
    If system apps aren't visible, tap the
    Menu icon Menu icon
    then tap
    Show system apps
    .
  5. Tap
    Enable
    .

Disable App

Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up on the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps & notifications
    .
  3. Tap
    See all XX apps
    .
  4. Tap the appropriate app.
    If system apps aren't visible, tap the
    Menu icon Menu icon
    then tap
    Show system apps
    .
  5. Tap
    Disable
    .
    If the Disable option isn't available, tap
    Force stop
     then
    OK
    .
  6. Tap
    Disable app
    .
  7. If prompted to 'replace this app with the factory version', tap
    OK
     to confirm.
