If you need to add a virtual private network (VPN) to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.) from your OnePlus 8 5G UW, follow these step-by-step instructions.
Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Wi-Fi & Network
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon Menu icon
    then tap
    Add VPN Profile
    .
  4. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
  5. From the Type field, tap the
    Dropdown menu Dropdown menu icon
    then select the VPN type:
    • PPTP
    • L2TP/IPSec PSK
    • L2TP/IPSec RSA
    • IPSec Xauth PSK
    • IPSec Xauth RSA
    • IPSec Hybrid RSA
  6. Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap
    Save

    If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following:
    The available options vary depending upon the selected VPN type.
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
    • Username
    • Password
