Samsung Galaxy A01 - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to change the SIM PIN for your Galaxy A01 or turn it on or off.
  • Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card in your device so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
  • If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Biometrics and Security
    .
  3. From the Security section, tap
    Other security settings
    .
  4. Tap
    Set up SIM card lock
    .
    If unavailable, ensure a SIM card is properly inserted.
  5. Tap the
    Lock SIM card switch
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off .
    To change your SIM PIN, ensure the switch is turned on then do the following:
    1. Tap
      Change SIM card PIN
      . Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
      The default SIM PIN is 1111.
    2. Enter a new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
    3. Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
  6. Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
    OK
