Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) - Set Lock Screen Notifications

Here's how to manage how notifications appear on your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) when the screen is locked.
Lock screen notifications for apps (e.g., text messages, Snapchat® , etc.) can be customized to be shown or hidden when your screen is locked.
If a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync® account is set up on the device, notifications are off by default.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen
    Notifications
    .
  3. Tap the
    Notifications switch
     (upper-right) to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    This setting is only available if a screen lock is set up.
    When on, configure any of the following:
    • View Style (e.g., Detailed, Icons only, Brief, etc.)
    • Hide content
      Tap to turn on or off.
    • Transparency
      Slide the blue bar left or right to adjust the level while viewing the preview at the top.
      Doesn't appear when View style is set to Icons only.
    • Auto-reverse text color
      Tap to turn on or off.
      Reverses the color of notification text based on background color.
      Doesn't appear when View style is set to Icons only.
