Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) - Manage Do Not Disturb Settings
Here's how to check 'Do not disturb' settings if your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) isn't receiving calls or alerts for texts and email.
The 'Do not disturb' setting silences sound/vibration for phone calls, messages, etc., though exceptions may be allowed.
- From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
- Navigate:.SettingsNotifications
- TapDo not disturb.
- Tap theDo not disturb switchto turn on
or off

- From the 'Schedule' section, tap the appropriate schedule to turn on or off.To add a new schedule, tap theAdd icon
then perform the following steps:
- Tap the default schedule (e.g., Sleeping) or enter a new schedule name.To edit the schedule name:
- Tap the current schedule name.
- Enter the preferred name (e.g., Work, Gym, etc.).
- TapSave.
- Select the preferred day(s).Selected when a circle is present.
- TapStart timeand adjust the start time.
- TapEnd timeand adjust the end time.
- TapSave.
- Tap theBack icon
(upper-left) to return to the previous screen.
- From the 'Exception's section, tap one of the following to allow exceptions:
- Calls, messages, and conversations
- Alarms and sounds
- Apps
- Tap theBack iconto return to the previous screen.
- TapHide notificationsthen the preferred notification setting to turn on or off.
