Here's how to check for and install software updates on your razr.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    System updates
    .
    A system update won't be received while roaming.
  3. From the 'System updates' screen, tap
    Check for updates
    .
  4. If prompted, tap
    Got it
    .
  5. If an update is available, tap
    Download
    .
    If prompted with 'Everything looks good!', no update is necessary.
  6. Tap the
    Smart updates switch
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    If turning 'Smart updates' on, follow the on-screen instructions to set an automatic update schedule. To change the schedule, tap
    Smart updates
    .
If the device gets stuck in the boot-up process after installing an update, a factory data reset is required. Make sure the Google™credentials are known prior to doing the reset as they are required to complete the reset process.
