Here's how to sync Google email, contacts, calendar, etc. on your Pixel 4 / 4 XL.
Frequent Gmail™ account syncing can reduce battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the middle to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Passwords & accounts

  3. Tap the account name (email address).
  4. Tap
    Account sync
    .
  5. Tap the appropriate data sync options (e.g., Contacts, Gmail, Calendar, etc.) to turn on On icon or off Off icon.
    To perform a manual sync:
    1. Tap the

       Menu icon (top-right).
    2. Tap
      Sync now
