Google Pixel 4 - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to change the SIM PIN for your Pixel 4 / 4 XL or turn it on / off.

Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.

If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to Locating the 4G SIM PIN / PUK - My Verizon Website to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

From a Home screen, swipe up from the middle to display all apps.

Navigate:

Settings

Security

Advanced settings

Tap

SIM card lock

If unavailable, ensure a SIM card is properly inserted.

If using multiple SIM cards choose the card name (at the top).

Tap

Lock SIM card

to turn on On icon

or off

To change your SIM PIN, ensure the switch is turned on then do the following:

Tap

Change SIM PIN

Enter the current SIM PIN then tap

The default SIM PIN is 1111.

Enter a new SIM PIN then tap

Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tap

Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
