Connected Car Wi-Fi (Volkswagen) - Manage Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the Wi-Fi hotspot settings for your Volkswagen in-vehicle Wi-Fi service.

For vehicles equipped with MIB3 Infotainment system or ID.4 vehicles, Wi-Fi settings are only accessible through the Infotainment screen.

To access Wi-Fi settings, navigate:

Infotainment system as hotspot

From Wi-Fi settings, SSID and Passphrase can be updated and Hotspot turned on/off.

Open the myVW app.

Ensure your vehicle is connected to a Wi-Fi capable device (e.g., phone, tablet, PC).

Tap the

Account icon

(bottom-right).

Tap

Vehicle Management

Tap the desired vehicle.

Tap

Wi-Fi Settings

Select any of the following to view or change settings:

SSID & Passphrase

Allows you to view or change the Wi-Fi password.

Hotspot On / Off

Tap to turn on or off.
