Here's how to configure Mobile Hotspot settings (e.g., password, allowed devices, etc.) on your Galaxy Tab S5e.

Set Up Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Configure
     then edit the following as preferred:
    • Network name
      The network name can be hidden by tapping
      Advanced
       then
      Hidden network
       to turn on Switch on.
    • Security
      • Open
      • WPA2 PSK
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
      Unavailable when 'Open' security is selected.
  5. Tap
    Save
    .

Timeout

    Mobile Hotspot

    Configure

    Turn off when no device connected for
     then select an option:
    • Never timeout
    • 5 minutes
    • 10 minutes
    • 20 minutes
    • 30 minutes
    • 60 minutes
