Nokia 3 V - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings (e.g., password, allowed devices, etc.) for your Nokia 3 V.

Set Up Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & internet
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
     then
    Mobile hotspot switch
     to turn on On icon.
    If prompted, tap
    OK
    .
  4. Tap
    Configure Mobile Hotspot
     then configure the following as needed
    • Network name (SSID)
    • Security
      • WPA2 PSK
      • None
    • Hotspot password
      Password can be changed.
    • AP Band
  5. Tap
    SAVE
    .

Timeout

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & internet
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
     then
    Mobile hotspot switch
     to turn on On icon.
  4. Tap the Menu icon On icon (upper-right) then tap
    Advanced
    .
  5. Tap
    Timeout settings
    .
    Sets how long before the hotspot turns off after no activity.
  6. Select an option:
    • 10 min
    • 15 min
    • 30min
    • 60 min
    • Never turn-off
