Nokia 3 V - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your Nokia 3 V.
  • If using Microsoft® Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options may be unavailable.
  • These steps can also be utilized to change your current screen lock setting.

Pattern

An unlock pattern is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & Location Security and Location icon
    Screen lock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  3. Tap
    Pattern
    .
  4. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap
    NEXT
    .
  5. Draw the same pattern again then tap
    CONFIRM
    .
  6. If presented, select an option then tap
    DONE
     (lower-right):
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all
  7. To disable the screen lock, tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
    If presented with 'Remove device protection?' tap
    YES, REMOVE

PIN

A PIN is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & Location Security and Location icon
    Screen lock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  3. Tap
    PIN
    .
  4. If presented with the PIN policy screen, tap
    OK
    .
  5. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap
    NEXT
    .
  6. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
    CONFIRM
    .
  7. If presented, select an option then tap
    DONE
     (lower-right):
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all
  8. To disable the screen lock, tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
    If presented with 'Remove device protection?' tap
    YES, REMOVE

A password is created to access the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security & Location Security and Location icon
    Screen lock

    If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.

  4. If presented with the Password policy screen, tap
    OK

  5. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters) then tap
    NEXT

  6. Re-enter the password then tap

  7. If presented, select an option then tap
