Sonim XP8 - Set Up Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up fingerprint recognition on your Sonim XP8.
  • A fingerprint is utilized to unlock your Sonim XP8®. For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
  • Up to 4 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display the apps screen.
  2. Navigate: 
    Settings
     Settings icon >
    Security
    .
  3. Tap
    Fingerprint
     then tap
    Next
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
    If necessary, set up a screen lock.
  4. From the 'Scan your fingerprint' screen, follow on-screen instructions to register fingerprint (as shown in the on-screen tutorial).
    Place finger on the fingerprint sensor and then lift off.
    Percentage indicates completion progress.
  5. From the Fingerprint added screen tap
    Done
    .
