Sonim XP8 - Enable / Disable App

Here's how to turn pre-installed apps on your Sonim XP8 on or off.
Some apps that come pre-installed (e.g., calculator, Google Play™ Store, Verizon Cloud, Call Filter, etc.) on your Sonim XP8® can't be uninstalled; however, they can be disabled (turned off) so they don't appear in the list of apps on your device.
The option to enable or disable an app may only be available for apps that can't be uninstalled.

Enable App

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps & notifications
    .
  3. Tap
    SEE ALL XX APPS
    .
  4. Tap
    All apps
     (at the top).
  5. Tap
    Disabled apps
    .
  6. Tap the appropriate app.
  7. Tap
    ENABLE
    .

Disable App

Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps & notifications
    .
  3. Tap the appropriate app.
    If not available, tap
    SEE ALL XX APPS
    .
  4. Tap
    DISABLE
    .
    If the Disable option isn't available, navigate:
    Force stop
    OK
    .
  5. Tap
    DISABLE APP
    .
