Here's how to manage how notifications appear on your Pixel 3a / 3a XL when the screen is locked.
If a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync® account is set up on the device, notifications are off by default.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Notifications
    .
  3. Tap
    Notifications on lockscreen
     then select an option:
    • Show conversations, default, and silent
    • Hide silent conversations and notifications
    • Don't show any notifications
