Here's how to set up fingerprint recognition for your moto g7 power.
  • A fingerprint is utilized to unlock the device.
  • For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
  • Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
  • A screen lock must be active (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.) to use a fingerprint. If necessary, refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security Security and Location icon
    .
  3. Tap
    Fingerprint
     then
    Set up
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  4. Place your finger on the sensor (back) until it vibrates then lift.
    Repeat this step as necessary until the process is complete.
    For greater accuracy, finger placement should vary slightly each time.
  5. Tap
    Done
    .
