moto g7 power - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your moto g7 power.
Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    >
    Network & Internet WiFi icon Network and Internet
    >
    Advanced
     >
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Add icon
     Add icon (upper-right).
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    OK
    .
    Refer to Set Up Screen Lock (Pattern, PIN or Password only) for assistance.
  5. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  6. From the Type field, PPP encryption (MPPE) is checked by default. If another encryption type is preferred, tap the
    Dropdown menu
     Drop down menu icon (to the right of the field) then select the VPN type:
    • PPTP
    • L2TP/IPSec PSK
    • L2TP/IPSec RSA
    • IPSec Xauth PSK
    • IPSec Xauth RSA
    • IPSec Hybrid RSA
  7. Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap
    Save
     (lower-right).
    If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following:
    The available options vary depending upon the selected VPN type.
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
    • Username
    • Password
  8. If PPP encryption (MPPE) is the preferred connection, scroll down and enter the Username and Password.
